我在流水线上拧螺丝
I tighten screws on the assembly line
螺丝在流水线上拧我
Screws tighten me on the same line
我们是两颗狭路相逢的螺丝
Crossed on the tight line we are but screws
拼却一身的力气
Exerting all my strength
拧血拧汗拧乡愁
My blood, sweat and nostalgia
却拧不出
I can never screw out
那个原来的自我
The real me I used to be

流水线上的每一个人
Every worker on the assembly line
都是一颗旋转的螺丝
Is but a turning screw
皮影戏里的木偶
Like a puppet in the shadow play
身不由己摆弄着荒诞离奇的舞姿
Involuntarily displaying weird dances
转痛转泪转流年
With pains, tears and youth
却转不出
I  never turn out of
贫穷荒凉的影子
The shadow of poverty and desolation

零件加工零件
Parts process parts
螺丝从不关心别的螺丝
A screw never cares about other screws
只顾及自己脚下的位置
It minds only its own footing
悬崖上的舞蹈
Like dancing on the precipice
一步都不能错
Every step calls for caution
稍有不慎
A single step mistaken
便无立锥之地
Gone will be your foothold

看完这首作品，我们心里沉甸甸的，那些年轻的工人们在为生存和人生的梦想在拼争着、消磨着、但机器消损的是他们的生命和支撑生命的意志。
